Compensation Analyst Credential (CAC)

ERI Distance Learning Center's Compensation Analyst Credential (CAC) designation is a convenient way to learn the fundamentals of this discipline without ever leaving the office. This online credential teaches the basics of salary planning and administration. By earning a CAC you will prove to employers that you have demonstrated expertise in the field of compensation. Employers will know that you have received high-quality training in the most fundamental areas of salary planning.

CAC Requirements

In order to earn a CAC you must complete 12 courses and pass their exams for CAC credit. A passing score requires a grade of at least 80% on the final exam (8 out of 10 questions answered correctly). You may retake a course's CAC exam as many times as necessary in order to pass. (There is no charge for retaking a failed exam.)

To get started on your CAC, first enroll in the ERI Distance Learning Center.

• Course 76 - Sales Compensation and Expense Allowances
• Course 77 - Installing Pay-for-Performance Plans in Your Organization
• Course 78 - Salary Increase Planning
• Course 81 - Creating a Competitive Salary Assessment
• Course 82 - Creating a Competitive Salary Structure
• Course 83 - Designing a Branch Office Salary Structure

Read through the course text answering each memory jogger question correctly in order to proceed to the next page. You can stop a course at any time and later return to the page you left off on by clicking the Access Any Page link in the course left-hand navigation.

When you are ready to take the Final Exam, you will be asked to select a credit type (CAC) and location (your state, province, or country). After you have passed the exam, click on Account at the top of the screen and then Training History to view and print your certificate of completion.

Applicable CAC credits will apply to the BAC and JCA credentials for one year, should you decide to pursue those additional certifications. You can see all the credits you have earned in your Training History.

CAC Application

After you have passed the 12 required CAC courses (listed above), please print out this application form, and fax it into the ERI Distance Learning Center. We will review your application and mail you your CAC certificate.
