Overview:
This introductory Webinar examines methods and processes that support compensation basics such as job analysis, job documentation and job evaluation. Several analysis techniques will be discussed that may be used to obtain important and relevant information about each distinct role performed within an organization for appropriate documentation. Guidelines for conducting a job analysis interview will be provided and suggestions will be given for designing an effective job analysis questionnaire.
Position descriptions provide an important part of the input necessary to maintain an equitable and competitive compensation program, but they also have the potential to be used in a variety of other administrative applications. The importance of various components of a job description that can add value to job documentation will be addressed.
Differences between job analysis and job evaluation will be identified and conceptual differences between various job evaluation methodologies will be defined.

Malak Kazan, CECP, CCP, CBP, GRP
Malak is Senior Associate for ERI Economic Research Institute. She has more than 25 years of experience in global compensation, benefits, and HR technology consulting. Malak has worked in a variety of industries including pharmaceuticals, agricultural chemicals, financial services, telecommunications, media and entertainment, professional services and the public sector. Experienced in all aspects of compensation and benefits design, Ms. Kazan holds the WorldatWork Society designations of Certified Executive Compensation Professional, Certified Compensation Professional, Certified Benefits Professional, and Global Remuneration Professional. Prior to joining ERI, Malak was an entrepreneur in transportation security technology solutions and held several HR and Total Rewards senior management positions with Booz Allen, Citibank, Genpact, GE Money, Sirius / XM and KPMG / Bearing Point. Ms. Kazan holds a Bachelor's Degree from Rutgers University and a Master of Science in Management from Krannert School of Business at Purdue University.
