Q: I forgot my user name and password. How can I get it?
Click on Account at the top of the screen. Then click on the Forgot your password? link. Alternatively, you could send an
with "forgot password" in the subject line. Be sure to include your
first and last name in the email. We'll look up your user name and send you a new password within 24 hours. You can then change your password
by following these steps.

Log in with the username and password emailed to you.

You'll be taken to your Account Information page, where you can click on
the Edit your profile link.

A page will open where you can change any of your contact information, including your username or password.
Q; How long
does each course take?
Each
online course takes approximately 1-2 hours to complete. You can start and stop
a course at will. To return to the page you left off on, just log in to the
course, then click on Access Any Page in the left-hand navigation.
Q: How do I
enroll and start taking courses?
Enrolling in the ERI Distance Learning Center is simple.

Click the Enroll button in the green navigation bar. You will be asked to supply an email address and then fill out a registration form.

Once you have registered, click on the HR Courses button at the top of the screen to review our offerings.

To begin an online course, just make a selection from the list by clicking the Start Course button.

If you want credit, click the Begin Final Exam button on the last page of the course or click the Final Exam link in the course left-hand navigation. You will then be asked to purchase the course exam and will enter the shopping cart.

As you go through the shopping cart, you will have a chance to review your order. You will need to supply payment information and then, to complete the purchase, click the Place Order button.

The next screen will serve as your online receipt and it provides a link to access your online course exam. In addition, you’ll be sent a confirmation email.

Q: What are the computer system requirements for DLC
online courses?
Minimum hardware and software requirements are:

many DLC online courses. Click on Instructions in the left-hand toolbar of
each course to find out if this or any other software is required. |
Q: I can't advance through the course. How do I get to the next page?
In order to advance through the course, you will need to either click on the Next button at the bottom of the course page
OR correctly answer a memory jogger question.
Memory joggers: When you select an answer and click the Submit Answer button, a pop-up box should appear.
If you did not answer the question correctly this box will tell you why and ask you to review the text, then try again. If you answered correctly,
the pop-up box will have a Continue button that you can select to advance to the next page.
Common problems: If the memory jogger pop-up box does not appear, you will need to disable any pop-up blocking security systems on your computer.
Also, be sure you are using an Internet Explorer browser or the newer versions of Netscape and Firefox. If the pop-up box
appears, but the next course page will not display after you click Continue, please make sure you have only 1 browser window
open to www.eridlc.com. If more than 1 window is open at a time, then the course will advance, but the new text page may appear in your original browser window.
Q: How can I quickly return to a specific course page?
Click the Access Any Page link in the left-hand course navigation. The page that opens has links to all the pages in the course allowing you to jump to any page so you can easily return to review specific course material at a later date.
Q: How can I print out a course?
While Distance Learning Center courses were designed to be taken online, you may print them out page-by-page. Go to the page you wish to print, right click with your mouse and select Print from the drop-down menu (this only works if you are using Internet Explorer). In order to comply with accreditation
organizations, the ERI Distance Learning Center cannot provide you a way to
print out the entire course at once.
Q: Where can I earn my original PHR, SPHR, or GPHR certification?

ERI Distance Learning Center online courses provide excellent preparation for the compensation and benefits portion of the exams adminstered by HRCI. In addition, all Distance Learning Center online courses are approved by HRCI
for 1 credit hour of PHR, SPHR, and GPHR recertification credit. In order to maintain
your PHR, SPHR, or GPHR certification, you must recertify every 3 years
by earning 60 recertification credits or taking a recertification exam. All 60 recertification credits may be earned through continuing
education, such as the online courses provided by ERI
Distance Learning Center.
Q: How do I take a final exam?
Before taking a final exam and receiving a certificate, you must complete all course material.
Once you have read each page and correctly answered every memory jogger, click on the Begin Final Exam button at the end of a course or the Final Exam link in the left-hand toolbar.
This will open up a page where you can select a credit type and your location. If
the desired credit type is available for your location,
you will be taken to the final exam.
You may retake the final exam as many times as necessary in order to pass.

Note: All Distance Learning Center online courses are accredited for ERI's
Job and Compensation Analyst (JCA)
credential; PHR,
SPHR, and GPHR recertification credit, and recertification credit for WorldatWork Society
of Certified Professional's CBP,
GRP, and CCP certifications.
Q: What score do I need to get to pass a final exam?
Different credit types have different passing score requirements.

CBP/CCP/GRP credit: 80% or 8 out of 10 questions

PHR/SPHR: 80% or 8 out of 10 questions

CAC/BAC: 80% or 8 out of 10 questions

CCC: 70% or 7 out of 10 questions

CE: 70% or 7 out of 10 questions

JCA: 80% or 8 out of 10 questions

CRCC: 11 out of 15 questions (about 75%)

CPE: 70% or 14 out of 20 questions
Q: How many times may I take the final exam in order to pass? You may take the final exam as many times as necessary in order to pass. There is no charge for retaking exams.
Q: How can I view my certificate?
In order to receive a certificate of completion, you must pass the final exam. You may retake the final exam as many times as needed to pass.
Once you have passed the final exam, click on Account at the top of the screen. Then click on the link to your Training History. Your certificate links for each course will appear on this page. Click on the appropriate "Certificate" link.
The certificate will open in a new window. You may print it out by selecting File
/ Print on your browser's window toolbar.
Note: Due to state regulations, CE certificates for insurance agents must be delivered to you via the mail.
Q: How can I change my contact information, password, username, or default
continuing education credit information?
Click on Account at the top of any
Distance Learning Center screen. Log in with your current username and password.
(If you have forgotten these, send an .)
Then click on the Edit Information button on the Account screen.
This will open a page that lets you change any of your contact information, including your username or password.
Q: Is the DLC Wizard required for me to take a course?
No, the DLC Wizard software is optional. It speeds up your course-taking by automatically downloading all the software applications you need to
complete each course. But if you don't use the DLC Wizard, you'll be prompted throughout the course to download the necessary applications from
the course Instructions page. To find out more about the DLC Wizard, including how to download it online or order a CD-ROM via the mail,

Q: How can I contact the ERI Distance Learning Center?
