HRCI SPHR, GPHR, and PHR Certification
The Society
for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is a worldwide Human Resources
association. An affiliate of SHRM, the HR
Certification Institute (HRCI) provides Human Resources professionals with
PHR, GPHR, and SPHR certifications, demonstrating that they have mastered the HR body of
knowledge.
If you are studying in order to prepare for the
HRCI PHR, GPHR, or SPHR exam, ERI
Distance Learning Center (DLC) courses provide a useful
online HR resource for many of the HR exam questions. Distance Learning Center courses provide thorough
training in compensation
planning and benefits administration, including international
compensation. Distance Learning Center online courses have varying completion times; the range is 1-4 hours. They can be taken anywhere, anytime you have access to a computer
with Internet connection.
Once you have passed an HRCI
PHR, GPHR, or SPHR exam and received your PHR, GPHR, or SPHR certificate, you will need to
stay up to date on developments in HR practices. To prove you have maintained
and updated your HR knowledge, HRCI requires that you recertify every 3 years.
You can do so by:

Taking a PHR, GPHR, or SPHR recertification
exam administered by HRCI.
OR

Earning 60 PHR, GPHR, and SPHR recertification
credits through continuing
education courses approved by HRCI; teaching an HR subject in a presentation; conducting
research on an HR topic or publishing in the HR field; providing leadership
to a committee, board, or conference; or maintaining membership in a
national professional society.
The
ERI
Distance Learning Center is an HRCI-approved provider. You
can earn your PHR, GPHR, and SPHR recertification credit hours
by taking ERI
Distance Learning Center courses. We offer over 50 courses and all are approved by HRCI for 1-4
credit hours of PHR, GPHR, and SPHR recertification credit. In addition to courses approved for General credit, DLC also offers courses approved for Strategic and International credit. As a bonus to completing HRCI recertification credits, if you complete enough courses inclucing those courses that are required, you can earn the JCA designation from ERI Distance Learning Center.
